London Fields Estate

USE secured first place in a limited entry competition to suggest proposals for the re- development and eventual extension of the London Fields Estate.  Currently a courtyard development of 24 two storey live work units located in the Mentmore Terrace development area - our proposal is to extend the existing accommodation by 2 storeys to provide second floor flexible studio spaces with roof top 'living room'  terraces.  The LFE forms the residential hub of London Fields/Broadway market cultural axis and is home to a family of eclectic creatives who pioneered the live/work ethic some 15 years ago.   Constructional rigor is informed and developed by the Cloud 9 modular pre-made volumetric system with contextual revisions.  Planning is imminent with completion expected for early 2012
